Yorgos Papafigos, a cross-media artist from Greece explores the increasing use of technologies and how these decompose and hybridise human notion. The artist focuses on the digital era and how immateriality affects our perception of the real world through digital content, sound and computer-generated images. Solid and virtual works seek to portray and explore emotional crisis and isolation. Yorgos Papafigos (born 1989 in Larisa, Greece) graduated from the Thessaloniki School of Fine Arts Faculty of painting and at the Royal College of Art – Contemporary art Practice – Moving Image in London.
