Nayia Frangouli is a visual artist who lives in New York City. She has taught at Barnard College, Columbia University and is currently assistant professor at Parsons and graduated from Yale School of Art MFA program in June 2004. Nayia works with video, sound, drawing and photography. Her undertakings in art making involve research and constant configuring of the existing dialogues concerning the built environment in its sociological and political impact. Nayia has exhibited in galleries such as: Marian Goodman – Paris, Els Hanappe Underground – Athens, Artists Space – NY and has shown her work in different biennale such as: Venice Biennale, Gwangju Biennale – South Korea, Pontevedra Biennale – Spain and Manifesta 3 Biennale in Slovenia.
