SeeVa Dawne Kitslis

SeeVa Dawne Kitslis is a multidisciplinary artist born in Austin Texas. SeeVa currently lives and works between Athens and Lesvos Greece. Their practice is dynamic, encompassing performance, writing, site-specific theater, spatial installation, video, and cyanotype. Past residencies and exhibitions include the Athens Festival of Queer Performance (2019), Black Mountain School of the Alternative (2020), The Broad Stage Gallery (2020), Mattole Valley Community Art Center (2017), and Big White Mykonos (2018). They believe that creating art is a way to address the lack of empathy and disparities that exist in the world. Their work incorporates ethnographic research methods to evidence the vastly divergent realities that can exist in a single space as well as utilizes somatic practices of investigation.
